(It wasn't about 6 weeks ago.) Maybe more of the archeological museum in Heraklion will be open by the time you get there. Only one room was open in early September -- although the admission price wasn't reduced. My pessimistic rule of thumb for Greece: Whatever you came to see will be closed.
